Frequently asked questions
At Mowbray Acupuncture clinic a treatment plan will be tailored to you your individual needs and may be adapted depending on how your symptoms change over time. The number of sessions required depends on the nature and length of your condition and how your body responds to treatment. For the best possible outcome acupuncture requires dedication from both practitioner and patient.
Is Acupuncture safe?
All practitioners are required to complete a BSc (Hons) degree before registering with the British Acupuncture Council meaning that your acupuncturist will be trained to a high standard. Be sure to check this by visiting the BAcC website. Needles are sterile and disposable and are shown to offer little side effects.
Please arrive for your appointment wearing loose clothing and if possible, eat a small snack. Sometimes you may feel tired after the treatment, this is perfectly normal.
